Key takeaways

A successful gift delivery starts with sender-side details: the recipient's name, exact address type (home, hotel, office, restaurant), a contact number, and any card message or color direction before you call.
Surprise timing is a logistics decision, not a guess — decide whether same-day delivery or a pre-order fits your date, then confirm the recipient will actually be there to receive the handoff.
Where the balloons land matters as much as what they look like: hotels, offices, and restaurants each have their own front-desk, concierge, or maitre d' procedures worth noting in the delivery notes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information do I need to send balloons to someone in Los Angeles?
Have the recipient's full name, the exact delivery address with any unit, floor, or room details, the address type (home, hotel, office, restaurant), a phone number that reaches the recipient or an on-site contact, your card message, and any color or theme direction. Gathering these before you call makes ordering fast.

Can I send balloons as a surprise to a hotel or restaurant?
Yes — hotels and restaurants are common gift-delivery destinations. For hotels, give the name the reservation is under so the front desk or concierge can accept the delivery. For restaurants, share the reservation name and time so the maitre d' or host can receive or present the arrangement. A quick call to the venue ahead of ordering confirms their procedure.

Should I choose same-day delivery or order in advance?
Choose same-day when the occasion is today, you are calling early in the day, and a classic arrangement style works. Order in advance when the date is fixed, you want a customized palette or larger design, or the delivery needs coordination with a hotel, restaurant, or other venue. When in doubt, ordering ahead gives the surprise the most protection.

What happens if the recipient is not there when the balloons arrive?
Balloon deliveries are built around a handoff — arrangements are not left unattended because heat, wind, and sun can damage them quickly. If no one is available at the delivery window, the delivery may need to be rescheduled. Confirm the recipient will be present, or arrange for a front desk, concierge, receptionist, or host to receive on their behalf.

Can balloons be delivered to a hospital in Los Angeles?
Many hospitals restrict balloon deliveries — some allow only foil (mylar) balloons and some do not permit balloons at all. Call the facility before ordering to confirm its balloon policy, then choose an arrangement type that fits.
